Gaught lying because he'd never heen caught

Darius Brown, 18, 106
Valley Drive, Warner
Robins, was caught Friday
lying at Dry Lake Park.
Officers responded to the
area in response to subjects
on the basketball court
possibly using marijuana.
Brown reportedly gave a
false name and kept putting
his hands in his pockets
even after being told to keep
them out. After the fourth
time, the officer grabbed the
suspect’s hand, removed it
from the pocket and frisked
him. At this time the officer
also detected the distinct
odor of burnt marijuana,
but found no other evidence
of marijuana or weapons.
While speaking with the
suspect to complete a field
contact card, the suspect '
reportedly admitted his real
name and date of birth.
He reportedly said he lied:
“because I've never been
caught, you know smoking
that reefer ... that herb.”
He was arrested for loiter
ing for drug related purpos
es and obstruction (giving
false name or date of birth)
on Friday, May 19, but not
for “smoking that herb.”
Pot at Fountain
Park
Tavarus Thomas, 19,
117 Smith Court, Warner
Robins, was charged with
possession of marijuana,
less than one ounce, fol
lowing a traffic stop near
Fountain Park. The driver
consented to a search of her
vehicle but 'lt;homas - on the
passenger side - reportedly
appeared to be upset with
the driver for giving consent
and whispered something
to her. :
A search of the vehicle
reportedly found a large
yellow piece of paper, folded
and stuffed under a pillow
where Thomas had been.
A small quantity of green
leafy material was report-
edly found inside the paper.
It field-tested positive for
THC content.

Cutberto Galvanibanez,
49, 120 Ignico Drive,
Warner Robins, was charged
with shoplifting Saturday at
Giant Foods on North Davis
Drive, after reportedly put
ting a bottle of Richards
Irish Rose wine down his
pants. The clerk reportedly
asked him to pull up his
shirt and observed the top
of bottle sticking out when
the suspect approached to
buy a 12-pack of beer, but
had no money.

Between Thursday-
Monday, person(s) unknown
broke out the right quar
ter glass on car parked on
Tabor Drive.
Between Friday and
Saturday, someone stole six
solar lamps and the ADT
alarm sign from the yard of
a Plantation Drive home.
Stolen items valued at $l5O.
Between Saturday-
Sunday, someone cut the
screen, opened the door and
stole a child’s bike off the
porch of a Galan Way home.
Bike valued at SIOO.
Between Saturday-
Monday, someone struck
the passenger window of
a car left for maintenance
at Robins Radiator with a
cinderblock, breaking the
window and damaging the
frame.
On Saturday, someone
backed onto the lawn of
a Tranquil Point home,
destroying the brick mail
box and several sprinkler
heads. Estimated cost of
repairs is between SSOO

carport of a Avalon Drive
home.

was charged with theft by
shoplifting at Target. He
was reportedly observed
putting and later found
with a 100-watt power
inverter in his shirt. Cost of
the item is $19.99.
Kroger does, too
Arthur Plemons, 57, 212
Deer Track Court, Warner
Robins, was charged with
shoplifting Monday from
Kroger. He reportedly was
observed placing beer cans,
one at a time in his jacket.
He reportedly admitted to
stealing the beer and that
he had stolen beer from
Kroger in the same way
three times before.

Kathy Ann Kerr, 37, 109
Shi St., Warner Robins, was
charged with possession of
cocaine Saturday following
