MARTHA TEMPLE DEGUIRE
PERRY - Martha Temple DeGuire, 73, died on Sunday, June
25. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First
Baptist Church of Haynesville with interment in the church
cemetery. Rev. David Fisher and Rev. Mark Sickling will offici
ate. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Watson-Hunt Funeral
Home. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist
Church of Acree Sanctuary Fund, RO. Box 110, Old County
Line Road, Sylvester, GA 31791. DeGuire, a native of Texas, and
the daughter of the late Rev VE. and Elizabeth Faye Renniker
Temple, had resided in Houston County since 2004 moving from
Sylvester. A graduate of Hardin-Simmons College with a rpaster
degree in Christian Education, she was a missionary with the
Southern Baptist Convention and a member of the First Baptist
Church of Haynesville (AAA Sunday School Class).
Survivors include her husband, Jim DeGuire; children, David
DeGuire (Tina) of Cleveland, Ohio, Betty Masure (Jim) of
Washugal, Wash., Judy Stevens of Roswell, John DeGuire
(Sallie) of Sylvester, Dan DeGuire (Kelli) of Calhoun, Tim
DeGuire (Kathy) of Perry; siblings, Beth Rock (Claude) of
Abilbene, Texas, Sonny Temple of Texas, Buddy Temple of
Texas, and Leslie Toland of Winter Haven, Fla.; 12 grandchil
dren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by a daughter, Faye Louise DeGuire. Please sign the online reg

MARY MEEKS ROZIER
WARNER ROBINS - Mary Meeks Rozier, 78, passed away
on Tuesday, June 27. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday
at Green Acres Baptist Church with interment following in
Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m.
at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be
made to Hospice of Houston County 103 Westridge DR Warner
Robins, GA 31088.
Rozier was born on December 22, 1927 in Greensboro and
graduated from Greensboro High School in 1945. A long time
Warner Robins resident she was one of the first nurses at the
Warner Robins Clinic and later retired from Robins Air Force
Base in 1972. She was a founding member of Green Acres
Baptist Church where she was active in the Joy Sunday School
Class.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Elliot F. Rozier,
Warner Robins; two daughters and sons-in law, Marie (Jim)
Lockhart, Middleburg, Fla.; Renee (JefD Rhodes, Kathleen; son
and daughter-in-law, David (Nancy) Rozier, Warner Robins;
four grandchildren, sister, Betty O’Neal, Stone Mountain;
