Former U.S. Rep. Mac

Harris of Gray.
Gary Black, Bob Greer,
Brian Kemp and Deanna
Strickland are on the bal
lot for the nomination for
Secretary of Agriculture,
while Brent Brown and
Chuck Scheid are vying for
Commissioner of Labor.
Houston County
Commissioner Jay Walker
is facing a challenge from
political newcomer Wayne
Overholt.
Tony Sellier and Meg
Nichols are in a battle for
the nomination for the 136th
District seat in the Georgia
House of Representatives.
A number of candidates,
including 145th District
Rep. Willie L. Talton,
146th District Rep. Larry
O’Neal, 147th District Rep.
Johnny Floyd, and State
Senators Cecil Staton and
RossTolleson are unopposed
in the Republican Primary.
County Commission
Chairman Ned Sanders,
Solicitor General Rob Tawse,
and Clerk of State Court

teers full time, he says, for

the Museum of Aviation and
American Red Cross.
