WR Chamber nets record membership
Special to the Journal
As a result of last week s
membership event, the
Warner Robins Area
Chamber of Commerce has
increased its membership
by 196 new members.
“We are still making entries
to our database,” said Alicia
Chrones, director of mem
ber services for the chamber,
“but believe we now have
about 1,340 members.”
Last year, the chamber
added 156 new members,
setting a record among
Georgia chambers for a 72-
hour membership event.
“Last week we broke our
own record,” Chrones said,
“and raised the bar even
higher.”
“Our colleagues have rec
ommended we submit our
Chamber for a National
Association of Membership
Developer’s Award for the
phenomenal growth it has
experienced as a result of
these two events.
“This was a great team
effort! Everyone who par
ticipated in planning and
conducting the event did an
incredible job!”
