LEWIS
From page jA
they all met at their des
ignated parking spots and
were escorted by the Perry
police back home to Houston
Springs.
What a sight!
They all felt like they had
their own private parade as
during their escort home,
people alongside the road
and in cars were waving to
them as they passed.
One lady told one of the
homeowners: “When I get
old, I want to be just like
ya’ll and live in Houston
Springs!”
The homeowner responded
“Old! Who’s old? Certainly
not us!“
They were also invited to
participate in the Fort Valley
Christmas parade and took
the invitation as a compli
ment to how great their golf
carts were decorated.
All of the homeowners
who participated in the fair
parade are anxious to deco
rate their golf carts for the
Perry Christmas parade and
are hoping for more resi-
