From Oct. 16 through Nov.
6, on Monday nights, Adult
Computer Classes were held
at Perry High School.

Gervace Perdue, former Superintendent David A. Perdue’s wife and first director of the
gifted program in Houston County, recently stopped by David A. Perdue Elementary
School for a tour and visit with students. Perdue developed Houston County’s Gifted
Program in the 19705. She began the FOCUS program and hired the first group of
FOCUS teachers. She visited with FOCUS teacher Shelia Love and her students.
According to a release from the school, children were “very impressed” with Perdue
and asked to have their picture taken with her. The students are shown with Love and
Perdue in the attached photo.

well-planned and organized
event.
