Northside proceeded to score
on five straight possessions
of the first half while giving
up just 58 yards from scrim

One of those touchdowns
was a 27-yard run for Cooper
while taking his first snap at
the quarterback spot at 1:58
of the first quarter.
“It was exciting playing
quarterback, backing up
Marques (Ivory) and helping
out the team,” said Cooper,
normally a wide receiver but
gaining 36 total yards as a
quarterback. “I couldn’t do
it without the linemen.
“(The touchdown) was
wide open. The line got their
blocks down, and it was just
wide open.”
Cooper’s score turned out
to be the game-winning play
as it gave the Eagles a 14-7
lead.
The offense was mainly
about Green and his 196
rushing yards on 18 carries.
He scored three touchdowns
to give him 25 on the ground
for the season.
