Keep Warner Robins Beautiful was recently recognized by the Georgia Department
of Community Affairs for receiving the Keep Georgia Beautiful Affiliate First Place
Award for overall program and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Beautification/Community
Improvement First Place Award for the Crepe Myrtle program. The awards were pre
sented by, far left, Lynn Cobb, Manager of Keep Georgia Beautiful and (far right) Phil
Foil, Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Also pic
tured are KWRB members Terry Duernberger, Debra Jones (executive director), Carolyn

His mother, Doris V. Moore, pre
ceded him in death. Survivors
include his daughter, father, sister
and two brothers.

A total of 306 competi
tion and display vehicles
were displayed at the
Museum of Aviation’s 15th
Annual Wings and Wheels
Car, Truck and Motorcycle
Show held Oct. 13 making
it, according to a release, the
largest show ever.
“We had the best collec
tion of outstanding vehicles
we’ve ever had,” said show
Chairman Bob Dubiel, who
has chaired the last 13
shows.
“They came
the state of GeorgiahSrtd we
even had five out-»#-state
vehicles from Alabama,
Kentucky and Florida.”
Three of those competitors
won Best in Class Trophies.
An estimated 10,000 spec
tators came out on a glori
ous 80-degree day to view
a gleaming collection of
antique, classic and custom
ized cars, trucks and motor
cycles, worth an estimated
combined total of over $6
million.
The annual show benefits
the Museum of Aviation,
one of the largest education
focused aviation museums
in the United States.
Vehicle entrants competed
for more than 100 trophies
in 44 different classes plus
special trophies for best
interiors, engines and paint.
Five vehicles received the
coveted “Best of Show” tro
phies. They were:

• 1969 Chevy Camaro,
Tim DeFore, Warner Robins
• 1955 Chevy Belair,
Keith Hammock, Irwinton
• 1934 Ford Coupe,
Michael Haramut, Warner

kiddie car races and a rock
climbing wall.”
