Wednesday for The Cottages, a 108 single-story home community at Lakeview Road
that was developed by the Edgewood Development Group based in Perry.

P. Mead, 74, passed away
Sunday, February, 17, 2008.
Funeral services were held
Thursday, February 21,2008 in
the chapel of Heritage Memorial
Funeral Home. Interment will
be private. The Reverend Fred McCoy officiated. The family received friends Wednesday evening
at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Mead, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, was the daugh-

Police looking for shooter

The Houston County Sheriffs Department,
according to a release, is looking for an
individual accused of aggravated assault
and aggravated battery in the shooting of
24-year-old Alberto Godoy. The assailant,
according to the release, has been identified
as Victor .Alfonso Cueto-Velasquez. He is
described as a Hispanic male, approximately
5-foot-5 and weighing 150 pounds. He has
black hair and brown eyes and multiple
tattoos on his face, neck and arms. His last
known address is Lot 221 Red Fox Run.
According to the release, the incident
began Feb. 16 when the accused and the
victim became involved in a physical alter
cation at the Red Fox Run Mobile Home
Park.
Following the altercation, Godoy, accord
ing to the release, began walking toward his
residence at Lot 82 Red Fox Run when Cueto-

Velasquez - while a passenger in a vehicle
driven by a 15-year-old male - approached
and reportedly shot him three times.
He, describing the weapon later as a small
caliber handgun, received gunshot wounds
to his right side, right hip and right leg.
The vehicle was then piloted from the
scene at a “high rate of speed.”
It was located - hidden - on Monday and
impounded. The sheriffs department also
located the driver and arrested him. He
has been charged with party to the crime of
aggravated assault and as of Wednesday was
in custody at RYDC.
Godoy, according to the release, has been
released from the hospital and continues to
recover from his wounds.
The case is still under investigation by the
sheriff s department. Anyone with informa
