sidewalks.
Treats
To ensure a safe
trick-or-treat outing,
parents are urged to:
■ Give children an
early meal before going
out.
■ Insist that treats
be brought home for
inspection before any
thing is eaten.
■ Wash fruit and
slice into small pieces.
■ When in doubt,
throw it out.

BOE honors long-term employees

At’ their recent meeting,
the Houston County Board of
Education held a reception in
honor of employees who have
reached milestones in their
careers with the system. '
First to be honored was
Arthur Wright, who is in the
maintenance department and
now works at Huntington
Middle School. He has
worked for the Houston
County School System for 45
years.
Ray Horne, award-win
ning drama teacher from
Northside High School was
second on the stage, having
served 40 years.
Nancy C. Rozier, Northside
High, and Pamela Stanescue,
Warner Robins High, both
received honors for 35 years
of service.
Honored for 30 years
of service were Gayle
Billingsley, Warner Robins
High; Lee Brown, Tucker
