and blood drive team will be
dressed in costume. The public

speaker. Churchwell is an avid
Civil War and battlefield his
torian. He will speak on his

OBITUARIES
Maxwell 0. ”M.D." Blaxton
WARNER ROBINS - Maxwell D. “M.D.” Blaxton, 85,
passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at his resi-
dence. Services were held Sunday at the
First United Methodist Church with burial
in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Mr. Blaxton was born in Lyons, Georgia
to the late Dee Memphis Blaxton and
Lizzie Hardy Blaxton. He was also pre
ceded in death by his wife, Frances Carol
Blaxton. Mr. Blaxton was a veteran of
the United States Army and served in
W.W. 11. He was employed with Robins
Air Force for over 39 years. Mr. Blaxton
was very instrumental

Robins Touchdown Club. He served in the touchdown club
for over 50 years and was a lifetime member.
Survivors include his children, Stan (Brenda) Blaxton
of Warner Robins, daughter, Dr. Teresa (Murray Garnick)
Blaxton of Vienna, VA, grandchildren, Chad (Ellen) Blaxton,

two brothers, Doyle Blaxton of Byron and Dewey Blaxton
of Port Wentworth, Georgia.
Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist
Church at 205 N. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31093, in
memory of Mr. Blaxton.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrange
ments.
Virgile Eugene Wallace
WARNER ROBINS - Virgile E. Wallace, 83, entered into
eternal life on Friday, October 24, 2008.
Mr. Wallace was born on October 31, 1924, in East Saint
Louis, Illinois.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 60
years, Linda Oswald Wallace, Warner Robins; sons John
Wallace and wife Chris, Salt Lake City, Utah and Robert
Wallace and his -wife Ann, Niceville, Florida; grandchil
dren, William, Kyle, Garrett and Ryan; and sister, Mildred
Zupcic, St. Louis, Missouri.
Visitation will be today from 7-9 p.m. at McCullough
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m.
Thursday in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with
interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to The American Cancer
Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201.
