Students honored at 2008 Laadershlp Warner Robins graduation

Chamber of Commerce
announced that the gradua
tion of the 2008 Leadership
Warner Robins Class was
held Oct. 21.
The 2008 Leadership
Warner Robins Honorees
were presented with com
memorative plaques in
honor of their successful
completion of the class.

The graduation ceremony
was held at the Houston
Lake Country Club in Perry.
Keynote speaker for the eve
ning was Col. Warren Berry.
The 2008 Leadership
Class had the opportunity to
showcase their project, The
BIG GIVE, which was an
effort in support of Hodac’s
Gateway Cottages. The
class gave a brief presenta
tion outlining the complete
process and success of the
project from start to fin
ish. Kathy Hart, Executive
Director for Hodac was also
in attendance as well as the
many sponsors who made
financial contributions to
the LWR class project.
Each year the Leadership
Warner Robins Program
presents the Dr. Dan
Callahan Community
Leadership Award. The
LWR class selects the recipi
ent of the award. This honor

than $30,000 in
cash, prizes

During the month of
September Robins Federal
Credit Union celebrated its
members by holding a draw
ing for over $30,000 in cash
and prizes.
On Oct. 10 they held aprize
drawing event to determine
the winners of the month
long celebration.
The celebration was held
at Robins Federal’s main
branch location on Watson
Boulevard. WDEN (99.1)
was on site doing a live
radio remote and Laura
Starling was the Master of
Ceremonies for the event.
14 finalists were selected.
During the event, finalists
won prizes that include a
new car or $20,000 cash, an
ATY big screen TY laptop
computer, and other cash
prizes.
