Perry Middle School’s FCCLA was host recently to Perry High FCCLA and Mossy
Creek FCCLA to conduct their first Advisory Council meeting of the year. Houston
County Community Council members, according to a release, were invited to
attend the meeting to be informed about the many projects and activities of the
FCCLA program. The first meeting was held in Perry Middle School’s Family and
Consumer Science Class. Perry Middle served a hardy “White Chili” to all council
members present. This was a practice run; Perry Middle School also participated
in the Chili cook-off at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. The Perry High School
Culinary Arts class prepared “candy bar cake” for dessert. The first council meet
ing, according to a release, was a great success, with Perry High, Perry Middle,
and Mossy Creek Middle FCCLA chapters represented well and encouraged with
ideas and a spirit of community support.
