CELEBRATION - Higher
Dimensions Worship Center's
Annual Christmas Celebration
and Give-A-Way will be held
Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The center
is located at 1602 Elberta Road in

and Pastor-elect Lady Cynthia
Boone, Director and Founder of
Annual Give-A-Way events. Per

SHOP - Perdue Elementary
will hold Santa Shop and Vendor
Shopping Night Dec. 8 from
5:30-7:30 p.m. Come out, finish
your Christmas shopping with a
wide selection of vendors, and

Shop! There will be entertain
ment provided by the Mossy
Creek Middle School Jazz Band
as well as special performance
by the Jumping Bulldogs and
the Perdue Elementary Dance
Teams. Get your tickets for a

the participating vendors, win
ners announced when the Jazz
Band finishes at 7 p.m.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
- The Vietnam Veterans of
America Warner Robins Chapter
No. 902 announces its scholar
ship award program for 2009.
Scholarships will be awarded
in memory of Logan Walton, a
late member of the chapter. The
chapter will award scholarships
to seniors in Houston County.
Students must either participate
in the AFJROTC program or be
the child or grandchild of a veter
an. Applicants must be in finan
cial need to meet educational
expenses, maintain above aver
age grades and demonstrate a
spirit of volunteerism and com
munity involvement. Applications
and additional information are
available through the senior class
guidance office, the AFJROTC
office, or via the chapter website
at www.wa9o2.org. The applica
tion deadline is March 1, 2009.

OBITUARIES
Helen Grey Parker
PERRY - Helen Gray Parker, 85, passed away on Saturday,
November 29, 2008. Graveside services were held at 11
a.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Evergreen Cemetery
with Dr. Billy Key and Rev. Charlie Walker officiating. The
family may be contacted at the
home of Hilda Walker. The fam
ily suggests contributions to the
Perry United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Parker was a lifelong resident
of Perry, daughter of the late Charles P. and Hazel N Gray,
and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Norman Parker, 111 (Yvonne)
of Broxton, grandchildren, Norman Parker, IV (Mary) of
Colorado,Pam Rushing (Ron) of Statesboro, Wendi McDaniel
(Wade) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sisters, Virginia Mason,
Hilda Walker, and Betty Talton, all of Perry; seven grandchil
dren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman
Parker, Jr.
