THETA CHI held its annual
Carnation Ball Saturday night,
Oct. 20, at Memorial Hall
Ballroom. Miss Linda Den
mark of Savannah, Delta Zeta,
was crowned beauty sponsor
for the coming year. Members
of her court were Julie Sweat
of Jacksonville, Fla., Alpha
Chi Omega; Sandra Lemon of
Augusta, Alpha Chi Omega;
Nancy Thielman of Atlanta,
Alpha Delta Pi; and Ann
Hatcher of Macon, Pi Beta Phi.

ated four new members during
summer quarter. They are John

The time has finally come
for all the Homecoming fes
tivities. Friday night will start
the weekend off right with the
IFC dance at Stegeman Hall.
The Glenn Miller band will
provide music for dancing and
Peter, Paul, and Mary will ap
pear at 10 p.m.
Saturday night is the big
night for parties. The Y Camp
will be the scene of the Alpha
Gamma Rho party with the
music of the Four Winds.
The Chi Phis have an open
party at their house with the
Del Vikings singing group
backed up by the Untouchables,
and the Playboys will be at
Charlie Williams’ for the KA
party.
The Phi Delta and SAEs are
combining forces for a party
at Doster’s Roller Rink. The
band will be James Brown and
the Flames.
A Jam session is planned for
Friday afternoon at the TEP
house with the Tricks, and Sat
urday night the Five Fiestas
will be entertaining.
The Gaines School Recrea
tion Center is the location of
the Lambda Chi Alpha party
with Solomon Way and the
Four Steps of Rhythm, and
Maurice Williams and the
Zodiacs will be at the Sigma
Pi house.
The Delts, ATOs, Pi Kapps
and Phi Taus will be at their
homes for casual parties Sat
urday night.
The Sigma Nus have engaged
the Judge and the Jury for a
basement party, and the Kappa
Sigs have planned a party at
their house with the Note
Kings.
The Sigma Chis are having
a party at their house featur
ing the Icemen, and the Sigma
Chi Derby has been changed
to winter quarter when the
weekends need livening up a
bit!
