resolution be published once a
month in each of the gazettes of this
state, until the next general election.

W hf.reas, it is desirable to ascer
tain the wishes of the citizens of this
state as to the mode of chosing Elec
tors of President and Vice-President
of the United Stales.
He it therefore resolved by the Senate
and House of llepresentatives of the
State of Georgia, in General Assembly
met, That it shall be the duty of the
magistrates who shall preside at the
several elections to he held in the dif
ferent counties of this state for the
choice of imynbers of the Legislature,
at the next general election therein, to
propose to each and every voter, at the
time of receiving his vofe, whether he
desires that the choice of said Electors
shall be confined to the people or re
tained by the Legislature, and to re
quest such voter to signify such desire
by endorsing on his ticket the word
People or Legislature , according to
the truth of the fact; and, on counting
out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said election by them so trans
mitted to thej*lxecutive department, a
true statement of the votes so given,to
the end that the same may be laid be
fore the next Legislature by his excel
lency the Governor.
And be it further resolved, That his
excellency the Governor be and he is
hereby requested to caitie this resolu
tion to he published without delay in
the several gazetts of this state, and to
continue the said publication once a
month until the next general election.

did, on the 10th duv of January, 1821, inort
gage to said Hudson, a tract of laud lying in
the county of Laurens, number three hundred
uiid tweitfv-eigbt, in seventeenth district, (for
merly Wifkinson, now) Lauren* county, for
the better securing the payment of the sum o;
forty dollars, on the first din of January, 1822 ;
and the said Robert 8. Dully buying tailed to
pay the same according to the terms of suid
mortgage, and the said Benjamin Hudson pray
ing tlie foreclosure Ol said mortgage. It is there
fore Ordered, That the said Robert 8. Duffy
do pay into the Clerk’s office of this court, the
principal and interest due on raid mortgage,
vilhin twelve months from this date, orliie
, pjily of redemption, in and to the said mort
gaged premises, will be, from thenceforth, for
ever barred and foreclosed ;and that the sumo
