Another improvement.
Yut another evidence of tlto growth and per
manent prosperity of our city is found in the
nmmmoth livery and sale stable now Itclng Com
pleted op the comer of Alabama and Forsyth
streets, by TO J. Woottcn, Esq. The additions
this gentleman is making to bis old concern are
extensive, and will embrace features not possessed
by any similar establishment in this city. He
will have about 40 good stalls, and shelter for .5
horses. The lots adjoining are sufficiently
enpacious for the accommodation of three hun
dred head of drove-stock, and Sir. Wooten is
constructing comfortable quarters where he im
poses to board and lodge the men in elmrgo of
drove stock. Underneath these apartments will
be a grain and feed store, adjoining which Is to
be a handsomely arranged saloon where the
choicest liquors, cigars, &c., will he placed at the
disposal of all guests and patrons of the estab
lishment Sir. W. will add from tlmo to time to
bis present stock ot horses as tho necessities of
tbe times may require, and intends to make ids
stable equal to any in the country.
Duly Mayou's Coort.—Wo learn from the
/Wutorhl column of the Intelligencer top
the .Mayor lias decided to hold, hereafter, daily
instead of weekly sessions of his court His
office will be removed to the City Hall.-JJgy

Yes, and you’ll learn a great many other things
by observing right closely the “;>u/-atorial” or
any other column of the Intelligencer ; hut
learn it quietly, like a good boy, unit don’t in
dulge in such naughty and uncalled-for flings.
Tbe Intei.lioexceh's business patrons are clev
er gentlemen, and If U,has alluded to them in
complimentary terms, it lias been with a view to
assist them iu building up n legitimate business.
But did it ever occur to yog, neighbor, that there
is a question ol taste involved in ignoring the
claims of ybllr business patrons and devoting the
same space, nr more, to your oum self f Tho In-

A Main In Wonder World.
We understand that the fantastic illusions ol
Prof. Searl, wlilcu are to take place in Oriue’s
Hall to-morrow night, will lie given in the same
seule of grandeur as produced some time ago
at tlie Tacou Theutrc, llavauu, betbre the Gov
ernor General and suite, with so much success,
where he was culled onto repeat his Chinese
Hopes three successive times in the same evening.
The great powers of Prof. Searl as a ventrilo
quist, and the, wonderful attractiveness of his
page, Miss Ada D'Mont, will he sufficient to fill
the house to overflowing. Of the latter, it is
said Hint her "Second Sight" is one of the most
extraordinary marvels of the age. The tricks of
Mr. Searl are performed without the nid of inn-
chiucry or the intricate parapliernuliu with which
the necromancers of tho old school are wont to
emnlier the stage, which fact enhances materially
the interest in the entertainment.
