A Certain Cure for Sick Head-
Ache.
W HICH has boon used in families, every
member of which has had sick handache
from infancy,ns n constitutional family complniut,
ond has cured effectually in every instance yet
known, amounting to many hundreds. It in not
unnlcasanl to the taste, nnd dors not prevent the
daily avocations of one using iu it must be perse
vered in, and the cure is gradual, but cerluin and
nermnueut. Instances are constantly multiply
ing where this distressing complniut iscomplete*
ly relieved nnd cured, ulUiough of yeiirs standing,
by the use of Dr. Spohu’s celebrated remedy.
One decided preference is its pleasantness, huv
iug none of the nauseating etVecls of common
drugs.
In nil dyspeptic symtoms, costivonnss, irregu
larity, distress after meals, pains in the side and
torpidity of the liver, the cure is perfect, and any
ono ho ufilicted will become immediately convin
ced on using it, that he has at last found a “sover-
nign balm for his wouuds.” Females are particu
larly recommended t6 use it for ctutiveness or ir
regularity, and other femnle complaints. It is
E roved to correct vitiated nnd disordered humors
eoping the stomach in must perfect order. Those
person* who after an evenings indulgence at par-
tius, &c. have headache uud duUuetw tho next
day, will find this a sure preventive if taken nt
bed timo. For all common complaints, in n few
days its virtues will be self-evident, and a complete
cure will soon he effected. When a person has
a cold and feels unwell, generally a free use ofit
for.a. few days will ho sure to relieve without
physic or pills. To children it may be given with
tho greatest advantage.
In all acidity or sourness of stomach this remedy
is sovereign nnd invaluable; ns a general family
tnudicine it is now adopted by ninny of tho most
respectable fniniles. It never hit lions the stomach
or produces any oftlio unpleasant effects of physic.

T HE high reputation which Fraucts Kidder’*
Indelible Ink has sustained for 15 or 20
years, lias caused several imitations ofthe article)
to be otiered for sale as “Kidder’s Indelible Ink.’ r
They resemble the genuine ink in their exterior
uppeamnee, and as some of them bears the namo
of Kidder, the public have been grossly deceiv
ed. To guard aga inst this deception, purchasers
will pleaso be particular to ask for Francis Kid
der’s Ink, ond observe that his name is on the top
and front of the box.
This ink cannot be effaced; but is warranted to
remain perfectly indelible for ages, if the direc

cinal principles as were considered must fit to re
store the harmony of action between die stomach,
liver, nnd the other important functions of the
system, the loss of which harmony is evidently tho
immediate cuuse oftlio disense. It speedily pro
motes a regular nnd healthy appetite whicli is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered very
precarious; by winch effect, vigor nnd strength is
soon afforded to the whole system. It must bo
apparent to all*, that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy action of
the digestive organs, it has proved itself of ro-
markable benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appotite,
heart-burn, water brush, flatulency, jaundice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
all other affeciioiw of similar origin, but it is in*
tho treatment of Fevers, and especially in Fever
and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that its powers
have been principally tested, aud with those who
havo seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover
eign to nil remedies lierntoforo discovered fa
those diseases. It has also been used as a pre
ventive, hy ninny who were subject to n periodi
cal recurrence of tho chills und fever, nnd it has
always warded oft’ the apprehended attack. It
whs deemed not improper to accompany the
vegetable febrifuge with a few of the many une
quivocal certificates politely furnished to tlio pro
prietor,corroborative ofthe foregoing statements.

causes of its being rejected hy many patients.
This is the reason why so many experiments
havo been uindo in order to discover some mode
of disguising its taste, so that it might be taken
with less repugnance; but hitherto this has been
but imperfectly effected, and always by addition
of some active substance which modifies 1 its pro
perties, nud thus destroys its chemical constitu
tion nnd its physical character. I therefore oiler
a mode of administering it in such a state that it
cannot occasion the slightest repugnance, nnd
this without submitting it to any alteration. My
method consists in enclosing it' in tho Gcialiue
