On each Nine or Ten Pin Alley track us
ed at any lime during the year of 1861, fifty

On each Lottery Ticket sold in the city, five
hundred ($600.)
On each one hundred dollars ef premiums
received by each Insurance Agent, for the
twelve months previous to the first day of
April, 1861, fifty (60) cents.
Oa eaoh one hundred dollars in money, pro
perty, or other valuable effects employed in
brokerage business, being the largest amount
at any one time, between the first of January,
1861, and the Aral of April, 1861, sixty (60)
ceots.
On eaoh negro offered or exposed for tale,
within ihe oorporate limits of tbe oily, by a
non-resident, three dollars ($3.)
On each hundred dollars worth of merchan
dise and atoek in trade, brought into the olty
and exposed for sale by any person (exoept
such as are refurnishing their former stock)
after the time for making tax returns shall
have expired, the amount of wbioh stocks shall
be returned on oath by the owners thereof, or
his agent, to the Marshal of the city, whose
duty it shall be to report tbe same in writing
to the Tax Receiver and Collector for tbe city,
eixty (60) oents.
On each one hundred dollars worth of wares,
merchandise, or other stocks brought into the
city and exposed for sale by transient or itin
erant traders, atook to be returned on oath, by
the owner or bis agent, ^to tbe Marshal, as
■peeified above; two dollars ($2.)
That each sad every Beak and Bank Agen
cy, doing business in the oity, shall pay a lex
of ($200) two hundred dolhirs, for the privil
ege of doing business in said city from the 1st
of April, 1861, to the let of April, 1802.
That each and every Express Company shell
pny n tax of one hundred dollare, ($100) for
the privilege of doing business in the oity of
Atlanta, from the first of April, 1861, to tbe
first of April, 1862.
That all machinery attached to Manufactur
ing Establishments to be, and ia hereby ex
empt from taxation.
Be it further ordained. That ike Tax Reoeiv-
er and Collector, for the oity of Atlanta, epee
hie books for receiving tax returns on tbe fif
teenth day of April, and dose them on tbe
first day of June thereafter; aod that he open
tbe books for collecting tbe tax on Ike fifteenth
day of June, and close the earn# on the first
day of Angust, 1861.
Be it further ordain«4, Thai all Ordinanoee
conflicting with the foregoing Ordinance be,
and the same are hereby repealed
