hud no objection to give it.
1 award it to you cheerfully, because I think It
duo. My sge is about 50 years; the color of my
hair auburn, aud inclined to curl. J&jme five or
six years siuce it began to turn gray and the scalp
on the crown of my head to lose its uensibility and
dandruff to form upon it. Each of these disagreea
bilitios increased with time, undaboutfour months
since a fourth was added to them, by hair falling
oil the top of my head and threatening to make
mu bald.
Iu tliis unpleasant predicament, 1 was induced
to try Wood’s Hair Restorative, mainly to arrest
the falling off of my hair, for I hud really no ex
pectation that gray hair could ever be restored to
its original color, except from dyes. I was, how
ever, greatly surprised to find, after the use of
two bottles only, that not only was the falliug of)
arrested, but the color was restored to the gray
hairs aud sensibility to the scalp, and dandrnl)
ceased to form on my head, very much to the
gratification of my wife,at whose solicitation I was
induced to try it
For this, among the many obligations I owe to
her sex, 1 strongly recommend ail husbands who
value the admiration of their wives, to profit by
my example, and use it if growing gray or getting
bald. Very respectfully,

W. K. Hagan, Troy, N. Y., —Dear Sir: Having
used your Hair Coloring or Restorative, and beiug
much pleased with it, I take pleasure in making
the following statement: From the effects of a
very severe fit of sickness, when about 18 years of
age, my hair commenced turning grey, and so
continued to grow until it became perfectly white ,
being very harsh and coarse. East summer I bad
reached mv titty-third year, when I was induced
by a friend to purchase two bottles ol lleiuiNtrcol'a
Hair Restorative, prepared by you. I commenced
using it according to directions, and in a few days
was surprised to find that my hair from tint roots
outward was turning back to its origiuul color.
It so continued to grow until it was as truly
brown and glossy as it was iu tny youlhlul days,
and is now fully regUnnd to it original color.

WII.ETAM KINGSLEY,

Mr. W. E.Haoan: I have used Heinisttcct’s Hair
Restorative for three years, aud find it to be a most
excellent article. It not only restored the color of
my hair, giving it new life aud strength, but it
cured myself uud wife of a most obstiuate eruption
upon the sculp, which nothing eUe teemed to benefit.
I fully believe it to be the best article in use.
Yours, respectfully, 9

The above are but a few of the many letters of
recommendation which have been tendered to the
proprietors of lleimstreot’s Hair Coloring or Re

ple, and it never fails to restore tha colui and
growth of the hair. This singular ( fleet is not
prodnred as when dyes uru used ; for its acts upon
the natural secretions of coloring matter at the
roots, and thus effects the change. The color pro

One of the most singular, if not the
most daring of robberies, was committed
iu this city Monday night. Tho Agency
of the Marine Bank was entered and
$40,000 abstracted from the vault. The
box from which the amount was taken
contained in all probably $120,000, about
two-thirds of which wa9 left. So far as
ascertained, no coin has been taken, and
at present it is impossible to ascertain
the exact extent of the loss. The strange
part of the wbolo ail'air is, that the lock
of the back door where the thief entered,
as well as the locks of the vault door,
have received no marks of violence what
ever. Tho back door wasdiseovered early
in tho morning to be open, but as the
Agent is an early riser and visits the Bank
at an early hour, no attention was paid
to the fact particularly, us the door show
ed no mark of having been forced open.
The back door was looked Monday night
and the key left on the inside. We huve
some other particulars, but from reasons
which suggest its propriety, forbear for
the preecut to give them. No clue has
been found to the perpetrator of the deed.

Cheap Advertising.
We aro informed that a certain paper
in the interior, less than a hundred miles
from Augusta, actually advertises large
double column notices, two or three
months for five dollars. We advise our
mercantile friends to be cautious how
they make contracts with such papers,
for no paper can live long and advertise
at such rates. —Augusta Dispatch.
Serious Accident.
The Wire Grass lleporter states that
a sou of Mr. Wm. L. llibb, living near
Glasgow, in that county, was out in pur
suit of game, Saturday two weeks since,
and when in the act of firing his gun it
burst, dreadfully mangling bis left hand,
to such degree that amputation was con
sidered the only alternative. Dr. E. J.
Oliver took the mutilated limb off at

last accounts.
