The Fort Smith Ileruld learns that the
Rev. Cephas Washburn died at Little
Rock, Ark., on Saturday, the 17th of
March. Mr. Washburn went to Arkansas
upwards of thirty years ago, and was a
missionary, under Ihu American Hoard,
to the and lived among them
until 1810, when ho removed to llcuton
county, where ho remained until about
1817 and then removed to Fort Smith,
and became the pastor of tlio Presbyteri

until 1866, and then went to Morristown,
and remained there until his death. He
was nearly seventy years old at his death.
