on the 5tli, and about two thousand of all
sorts, sold; and the sales yesterday were
estimated at two thousand bags, at full and
steady rates. The trade have purchased
willingly of late. It is now understood that
the master spinners will have no further
trouble with the operatives, at least for some
time to come, that the consumption is more
likely to increase than diminish, and as ev
ery account from the U. S. confirms the ex

thence, independent of the inferior quality
of the new crop ; holders of old cotton are
sanguine of still better prices, although they
have of late met tin? demand rapidly.
