SAVAJUTAn, September 4.—The htate-
ment made in the New Turk Herald to-
dkj, to the effect that the yellow Fever
pxikU in this city, has called forth the
following from Mayor Screven.

yellow fever in Savannah. The state
ment is wholly without foundation.
There is not now, nor has there been, any
yellow fever in Savannah the present
