Cotton.—The market ou last Thursday closed

Siiturday.—Little done, owing to different views of
buyers and sellers. After one o'clock the discourag
ing nears still more curtailed transactions. LI verpool

Monday. —Market if till very dull. Qperattons cap-
lined to small parcels, being qo indication of prices.
Factors are aniious to sell, but unwilling to concede.
Sales, 200 balsa.
Ttomiay.—Au improved demand, with sales of 650
bales, principally on English account. On the higher
grades better prices were obtained, with a alight reac
tion on the lower grades. Liverpool middlings, 31 >4

Wednesday.—The market quieter, and a tendency
toward easier prices. Quotation* nominal. Sales
125 bales.
Thursday.—Very little inquiry has been manifested
to-day. Buyers seem lo be waiting advices, though
holders are more disposed to yield than on yesterday.
31®Jl)4c. Is asked for middlings, though no offers sre
made op that basis. About 75 bales cLsnged hands at
forced sales.
The stock is gradually increasing, being uow 16.022
bales.
The exports sre 7.598 bales, against 9,344 last week,
of which 2,870 bales were to Liverpool.
The receipts vary very slightly week after week,
and no decided iucresse may be looked for, for some
time to come. They toot up for last week, 4,991 bales,
agsiust 6,831 for the week previous.
tins Islands.—There is little change from our last
week’s report The filter qualities sre firm at former
prices, and the poorer grades are weaker. The de
mand is somewhat improved.
