eight head of cattle, viz. three cows and calves, and

to Lahan P. Poole, for Lot No. 104, in the Fifth Dis
trict of ongin.- lly Henry, now Fayette county, w hich
said land was, on the 20th July 1S25, assigned by
the said Laban P. Poole to the said Samuel, (a copy
of which is filed in the Clerk’s office, annexed to the
petition of the said Samuel,) and the said Sarnupl
having prayed that the administratrix of said de«-
ceased may be directed to'execute titles to the said
Samuel, in terms of said contract. It is ordered
that this notice be published in one of the public
Gazettes of this State, once a month fbr three
months, and in the public places of this county; and
unless cause to the contrary be shewn at the next
Term of this court after said publication, the admi
nistratrix will be directed to execute titles to the
said Samuel, agreeable to said contract.—A true ex
tract from the minutes of the Court of Ordinary.

October, eighteen hundred and twenty-two, for one
thousand dollars, conditioned to be void if the said
Asa should make good and sufficient titles to Lot of
Land number pne hundred and forty-eight, in the
ninth district of- Monroe county, on or before the
firgt day of April then next; and it being stated and
made appear to the court that said Hardin has paid
the consideration money, and that said Asa depart
ed this life before making titles, and a copy of the
Bond being filed in the Clerk’s olfice of this pourt,—
is on motion, Ordered, That the said Thomas
Pnyn-', Joseph Dunlap, and James H. Little, execu
tors of said Asa Ayres r do shew cause, on the first
tWouday in September next, why they should.not be
directed to make titles to said land, described in said
bond, to said Henry Hardin, in terms of the statute
in such case made and provided. And it is further
ordered, that a copy of this rule'be published in one
of the public Gazettes of this state,-once a month
for three months before the sitting of said court, in

O N the petition of Thomas J. Stf M^'shcwing. that
Thomas Wood, deceased, heretofore in his life
time, did, on the 25th day of July, ^821, make and
execute his certain Bond in writing, in the penalty of
seven hundred and fifty dollars, conditioned to make
titles to John Nash'to a certain tract or parcel of
land, No. 171, in the 6th district of Gwinnett county',
(a copy of which Bond is annexed to said petition,
and filed in the Clerk’s Office) and has prayed this
Court to direct the Administrators of said deceased
to make and execute a fee simple title to said lot or
parcel of land, according to the tenor of said Bond.
Therefore, ordered,* ,That this Rule be jutblished in
one of the'public gazettes of this STL’ Vand in the
public places of this county for three, ontfls, and
unless cause be shown to the contrary at the next
Term of this Court, after said publication, the said
Administrators will be directed and ordered to exe
cute said titles to said Thomas J. Stcll, for said lot
or parcel of land.

O N the application of L. F. E. Dugas, shewing
to tne Court, that William Edmonson, on the
29tn of January, 1824', made his certain Mortgage of
that dale to your applicant, whereby to secure to
him the sum of One Hundred Dollars, on or before
the2Jtl|ofauty, 1821, be, the said William, Mortgag
ed to your applicant the following described Tract of
Land, to wit: lying and being in the County of Jack-
son and State of Georgia, containing one hundred
one and.one half acres, being half of a grant made to
Elisha Lake of two hundred and three acres, the
half butting’and bounding as follows: beginning on
a white oak corner, on the branch on Jonathan
Smith’s line, running north cast to a pine corner on
said Smith's line, thence South to a white oak cor
ner on the branch on John Smith s line, thence South
west to a post oak corner on said Smith’s line, thence
on Borgin’s line, to the beginning corner. And that
there is due on said Mortgage tiie sum of One Hun
dred Dollars with interest from the 29th of July,
1824 ; and praying the foreclosure of the Equity of
Redemption of,’in and to said Mortgaged premises.—
On motion; Ordered, Tnat the said Mortgager pay
into Court the principal and interest due on said
Mortgage, together with the cost, within twelve
months from this date, else the Equity of Redemp
tion of, in and to said Mortgaged premises will bfe
thenceforth forever barred and forclosed.—And it is
fitrther ordered, That a copy of this Rule be publish
ed in some public gazette of this State or served
upon the Mortgager according to the statute in such
cases made and provided.

parts of the State, So many orders for Grants
and Detached Plots of Land in the recently acquired
Territory, that he feels hiipself compelled to advertise
a general Agency of this business.
AU persons; therefore, who may desire Grants or
Detached Plots from the Surveyor General’s Office
at Millodgeville, may depend on receiving them by
the earliest mail, on .remitting their orders, post paid,
covering in Bills of the Macon, State Bank, or any
‘of its Branches, the sum of
819 for each Grant in the late Lottery,
$11 for do. in the preceding one,
$6 for do. in the anti-preceding one.
