ville now occupied by Capt. Burch. A TRACT OF
LAND, near the Hog mountain road, containing one
hundred and forty-four acres, adjoining Powell and
Thomas: also the One Half of Five Hundred and
Seventy-five Acres upon which George W. Merri-
wether now lives, all the property of Dr. Wm. Meri
wether, deceased, and sold for the benefit of the
heirs.—Terms, four equal annual payments, bearing
interest,from the date, to be secured by approved
personal security, and a mortgage on the premises.

Sarah: at the same time, all the lands belonging to

NOTICE TO CARPENTERS.
W ILL be let to thelowest bidder, in the town
of Monroe, Walton countv, onr Thursday the
29th of this month, the biiildingof a Methodist Meet
ing House, to be sixty feet long, forty wide, and
fourteen feet iu pitch ; and the house to be raised on
good brick pillars four feet from the ground; the un
dertaker to furnish every thing, and have the house
completed by the first day of April next. One fourth
of the money will be paid on the day the contract iu
closed, one fourth more when the bouse is covered,
and the balance when the w*ork is completed. A
particular plan of the building is left with Mr. Reno
Stone, in Monroe, for tha' inspection of those who
may wish to undertake the business. The whole of
the materials to be of a good quality ;, the shingled
to be altogether of heart pine. The undertaker will
be required to give gapd Security, to complete the
work bv the first day of April, out of good materials
and in a workman-like manner.
