tho bad management of tho Council
generally ; especially those who trans
act the business in the departments
spoken of. As I havo made my report,
itemized, to tho Council for what bus
iness I lmvo transacted for them, I will
say nothing on these subjects, only
that I nra glad bo lms alluded to them.
You propose to allow the Council
space in your paper. The Council
has been heretofore without a medium
through which to communicate with
the peoplo. This, with hundreds of
other good reasons, go far to show
tho great importance of the peoplo
sustaining the Rlcoud.
There is only two points in Tax
Payer’s communication that I feel it
my duty to reply to, or called upon to
answer. These are in relation to rash
lawsuits and tho right of the Council
to wall the public spring.
