Attend Graduation
Mr. and Mrs. Wade Lane and Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Hicks attended the
graduating exercises of Dr. Edward
Hicks at the University of Georgia
Athens, Saturday. They were accom
panied to Athens by Mrs. Gray
Hicks and Mr. Harry Hicks.

day in July, 1962, to the highest
bidder for cash, the following de
scribed property:
All that certain improved lot of
land In the community of Rupert,
Taylor County, Georgia, described
as beginning at an iron pin on
property line between Frank Calla
han and Mary Lee Koring, thence
north 420 feet to an iron pin on
same line, thence west 105 feet to
an iron pin, bordered on north by
Mary Lee Koring, thence south 420
feet, thence east 105 feet on right of
way of highway 90 to the point of
beginning.
Said security deed conveying the
above described real estate was
executed and delivered by Arthur
G. Terrell and Annie Terrell to
Southern Home Contractors, Inc., on
December 2, 1960, together with the
note recited therein, as assigned to
Home Finance Company, all as
shown recorded in Book 11 of deeds,
pages 338 and 339, in office of the
Clerk of Superior Court, Taylor
County, Georgia, and the assignee
and undersigned holder thereof has
declared the balance and entire in
debtedness of the said obligation

therewith in the sum of $42,500.00,
all as shown by deed to secure debt
recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Taylor
County, Georgia, in Deed Book 10,
pages 261-262. The said indebted
ness has become in default as to
principal and interest, same being
past due and unpaid.
NOW THEREFORE According to
the terms of said security deed and
the laws in such cases made and
provided, the undersigned will ex
pose for sale to the highest and best
bidder for cash the above described
real estate after proper advertise
ment in the legal gazette for Tay
lor County, Georgia, on the first
Tuesday in July, 1962, between the
legal hours of sale before the court
house door in Butler, Taylor Coun
ty, Georgia.
The property to be sold and the
proceeds from said sale will be
used first for the payment of the
balance due on the above stated
principal indebtedness, together
with interest thereon, attorney’s
fees, costs, and expenses, and the
balance, if any, delivered to such
person or persons as may be legal
ly entitled thereto.
