plo remedy for nog cholera; which has nev
er foiled ns a preventive, nnd In every in
stance wherein from neglect the discaso

ing It In A lbw days. Two or more largo
barrels are procured, nnd placed conven
iently to tho kitchen. i Into these deposit
nil the pot liquor, nnd creasy wntcr of any

buckctsftil .of soap-suds: 'Let It staftd a
few days, or until fermentation begins;
then add to each barrel ono bushel of lino
chnrconl, n half bushel of corn meal, ono
lmnilfttl of salt, and ono half pound of
copperas. Bet It stand a short tlmo, so
that tho coal may become thoroughlyjsat-
urated With tho liquor; then pour , into
troughs made for tho purpose. One barrel
thus prepared, ho says, if given onco or
twice a week, will be sufficient for fifty
hogA, nnd prevent cholera, and keep them
in n healthy condition'. This remedy is
quite simple, nnd will commend Itself to
