In every church, every lodge,
every town, in every county, in
every section there is a ring or
click who control. If you wish
to have a voice in every matter
that comes up, attend the meet-
ings, get in the rings or clicks and
make yourself heard. Don’t wait
until a plan is promulgated or
furthered and then begin to howl
and kick. Be then at its inception
and throw yourself on one side or
the other.
AFFECTS FVRRY ORGAN,
Does that Most Dreadful of Diseases—
Chronic Catarrh.
Over half of the people have
catarrh in some form or another
and yet probably not a tenth of
these people know that their dis
ease is catarrh. One person says he
has Bright’s disease ; another liver
complaint: another consumption ;
another female complaint. These
people would be
very much surpris
ed to hear that
they were all suf
fering with chron
ic catarrh ; but it
is so, nevertheless.
Each one of these
troubles, and a great many more,
are simply catarrh ; that is, chron
ic inflamation of the mucous lin
ing of whichever organ is affected.
Any internal remedy that will
cure catarrh in one location will
cure it in any other location.
This is why Pe-ru-na has become
so justly famous in the cure of ca
tarrhal diseases. It cures catarrh
wherever located. Its cures re
main. Pe-ru-na does not palliate ;
it cures.
Dr. Hartman has recently com
piled into hook form several of his
lectures on chronic catarrh, which
he has delivered at different times
at the Surgical Hotel. This book
is called “Winter Catarrh,” and
will be sent free of charge on ap
plication to The Pe-ru-na Drug
Manufacturing Company, Colum
bus, Ohio.

Idle Rumors.
The Citizen has almost daily
heard of various persons having
small pox, and its reporters have
run every rumor down to find that
there was not the slightest founda
tion for such. It would be bad
to have the small pox, but it is
worse to have rumors floating
about with no truth in them. Let
such lies be put an end to. It in

H. J. Smith, who has purchased
the Lowry & Eason building, has
been altering and improving
this week. In tearing out a mid
die wall the workmen found i
quart bottle of some sort of liquid
that has the odor of ether, and a
chemist suggests that it was orig
iually pure old mountain dew that
had thus undergone a chemical
change. The building, though
nearly thirty years old, is a first
class one.
