Who's (jot any money ? That’s what we Want
to know;
The poM and silver, or greenbacks, that flour

The cry comes rip from Wall street, echoing
, through the land,
AKnrfof ffnanrial famine that no one can
’ understand.
Where has the money gone to t where is the
vault and key ?
Where is the Ineky owner—the man that wo
want to gpe 7
The banks are poor they tell us; yea, VCrily
pinched for means;
And note shavers, all exhausted—those conve
niences go-between* ;
While crowds of the disnpipointed come away
from the office door
Os tho Trust and Insurance magnates that
“pegged out” long before.
Tho bonds are a drug in the market, once
sought hy all the town,
And private hankers grumble—deposit* nre
running down.
A wail comes np from Broad street, alike from
tho hulls end hear* ;
Por Jones is short in the basement, and Smith
dead broke up atairs;
Does any one feel like investment, and if so,
what'll he buy ?
Flour imd grain, and such like, waiting a man
to try,
Bargains in hops or cotton, baoon and pork,
and lard,
At prices really staggering, even in times so
hard;
Dry goods and notions, tempting tho oonntry
merchant's trade ,
And real ostalel—from a shanty up to a town
just made.
Who's got any money? Who is the fortnnate
man ?
Perhaps ha got his pewter on tho ‘Prisoo Lot

But wo don't ask how he got it; tho point is
will he lend,
At two and a half in gold por month, to oblige
a needy friend 1

And silver is sunk by India, inn bottomless

gut tho greenbacks arc not exported; wo
surely may lean on them,
To help us out of a hobble, tho tide of debt to
stem.
Wo liko the nnmo of Spinner on his promisso
ry hills,
And believe his superscription is a cure for
general ills;
But tho thing is how to got them, when the
keen ones lock ’om up,
When a man wants ‘just fivo dollars,' until
ho sells his ‘pup.’
Will somebody that is posted give a general
sort of rule
By whioh wo can all be easy, and nobody play
tho fool,
So each worker can got tho needful, whatever
may lie his rank.
Without being a Government employee or
