Many Freak Bills in Legis
~ lature This Year
Atlanta, Ga., June 19, Quite a
number of so-called freak bills are
alreaay under contemplation for
introduction in the session of the
legislature which opens next week
at the capitol, but the majority of
the proposed legislation already
‘announced is of a serious and con
structive nature,
~ Bills are pending to improve
‘many of Guorgia’s present busi
fness laws and a notable measure
‘will be introduced to protect Geor
\giu citizens from the mackinations
of the stock-fakirs who get good
‘money for fake corporations whose
only asset is the bright blue sky
and their tertile imagination.
Among the measures of general
interest will be one to abolish the
present system of justice of the
peace courts in all the larger
Georgia cities which desire to
make the change. This bil] will
In no wise affect the justices of
peace In small towns and rural
districts. The framers of the
measure are convi y
that the present gsrzgét;hizyexsggli
lent for the towns and rural com.
munities, but is ill-fitted for the
larger cities,
