Swindle gave a dinner in honor of
their son, J. N. Swindle ,who had
reached his twenty-third mile post.
Among those present were, Mr. James
Swindle, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Par
rish, C. C. and J. M. Smith, J. N.
Swindle and Mrs. Martha Clements

the home of Mr. Thomas Morrison, a

ardson and Miss Addle Cox, youngest

Mr Barden, of the Baptist church, of

The friends of Mr. Homer Brown
and other Valdostnns who are connect

Mr. Burnett Sells Out
Mr. E. 8. Burnett has sold his home
on Gordon street to Mr. Morgan a
wealthy mill man of Milltown, and the
latter will move his family to Valdosta
at once. He Is Interested In many
sawmills throughout this section, and
has bought large quantities of timber
in this and adjoining counties. Mr.
Burnett will rent another home for
