John D. Rockefellers Pastor Thinks
Wealth a Barrier.
Cleveland. Dec. 20.—Dr. Charles
A. Eaton, pastor of John D. Rocke
feller’s church, declared Wednesday
night that wealth Is a barrier to the
greater possibilities of man.
He reiterated the statements, he
made In an address to the Men’s
Club of the church, Monday night,
in which he said that few men could
stand prosperity.
•‘The greatest possibilities of man"
said Dr. Eaton, "are not brought
out by wealth, but rather hindered,
it is very often the case that ^ young
man In obscurity ls recognised by
men of affairs as a man of great
ability and possibilities. He Is plnc-
ed in a position from which he can
rise to the highest pinnacle of fame,
but as wealth comes to him he be
comes dazzled and his mind is turn
ed by the glitter of gold.”
A Fearful Fate.
It is a fearful fate to have o en
dure the terrible tortures of piles.
"I can truthfully say," writes Harry
Colson, of Masonvtlle, la., "that for
Blind, Bleeding. Itching and Protrud
ing Piles, Bucklen’s Arnica Salve, is
the best cure made.” Also best for
cuts, burns and injuries. 25c at W.

heart. Mr. Milner's left thumb was
shot off ,and he was also wounded in
two other places. It appeared that
he was beaten about the face with
the butt end of a pistol.
The shooting was the result of the
renewal of a former difficulty over
family affairs. It ls not known just
how the difficulty started, as there
was no eye witness to the shooting,
but It seems from best Information
that the first two shots were flred al
most simultaneously. Mr. Dorsey
was one of the town’s prominent and
leading citizens and a brother
Judge R. T. Dorsey, of Atlanta,
was about 60 years of age. He leaves
six sons and two daughters.
Milner is a farmer and Just recent
ly moved to Jonesboro from his farm
near here. He Is unmarried. He
surrendered to Sheriff Brown soon af
ter the shooting. He claims self-de
fense.
