ROUTE OF FLORIDA RAILWAY.
Live Oak Democrat G.ves Route of
the F' val Survey.
T 'ink Drew, president r.i the Flor
iJo Kailway, returned yesterday from
a survey of the proposed new line of
the Florida Railway extend* n g from
Live Oak to Fernandina. *
R. M. Ellis is chief engineer in
charge of the survey and is assisted
by C. L. Beard. The line follows a
ridge surveyed in 1878 by Gen. Gil
more, for a water shod, and passes
| through the counties of Suwannee,
Columbia, Baker and Nassau, in
Florida, and Charlton, in Georgia,
I crossing the St. Mary river twice.
The points at which the line crosses
the above named river into and out
• of the big bend are in Charlton coun
ty, Georgia, and are now established.
The road there makes a deflection
to go Into St. George. *
The road runs within a half mile
.of the Pine Grove Camp ground, and
at a point J’wenty-six miles from
Live Oak passes through the best
farming section of -Florida. The line
follows the main line one and one-
half wiles south of White Springs to
avoid back water and overflow. At
present those in charge of the sur
vey expect to make connection with
the G. S. & F., crossing this line at
a point east of White Springs, which
afford excellent facilities for
to and from. that point, or a

Rheumatism, as has recently been
ascertained, is due to the presence
of poisonous matter in the blood. The
only way to cure the disease is to
id of the blood impurities, and
the only way to do that positively,
efficiently and permanently, is to

EMPLOYEES REMEMBER HIM.
With Diamond Stud and Watch
Charm by Engineers and Conductors
Mr. D. F. Kirkland who recently
resigned the position of superintend
ent of this division of the Atlantic
('oast Line was very appropriately
temembered Sunday afternoon by the
* ipployees of that system. The Broth*
11 hood of Locomotive Engineers and
the Ord<?r of Railway Conductors
held a Joint meeting to which Mr.
Ktnkland and Judge Myers were invit*
»*1 and the former was presented
with a handsome diamond stud and a
i.: isonlc emblem by the two orders.
J dge Myers tendered the gifts ln
the name of doners and spoke In his
usual happy style, paying well-deserv*
el tribute to Mr. Kirkland’s popular
ly among the people of, Waycross
and the employees of the Coast Line.
Mr. Kirkland responded gracefully

it out of your system In the only
scientific manner—cleanse the blood
and the disease will go. NNenralgia
shriek, but rheumatism
groan. Dillingham’s Plant Juice puts
laughter In the place of the one and
exclamations of joy in the place of
the other.
Rheumatism, according to recent
investigation, is caused by excess of
uric acid in the blood. This acid
attacks the fibrous tissues, particu
larly in the joints and causes the
local manifestations of the disease—
pa/uy am] aches—fir the back and
shoulders and in the joints at the
knees, ankles, hips and wrists.
Thousan Is of people have been posl
tlvely and permanently cured by
Dillingham’s Plant Juice. The med
icine neutralizes the acidity of the
blood and also builds up the whole
body.
The prevalence of this distressing
compinint Is most won.lerful What
an army It would make In any large
town if one could muster all the
rheumatics together! What - a dis
play of stiff joints and swollen limbs
and obdurate muscles, of limp and
unsteady steps, and painful
monts!
What a vast amount of w
at his home town recently. He thinks
the race in Lowndes will be rather
warm with Hawell, Estill and Smith
all running strong. He says Judge
Russell has some supporters ln
Lowndes and that some of the Bap
tists there will probably vote for Dr*;
Nunnally.
The visit of Mr. West to Savan
nah was purely a business one, be j
stated. Mr. West figured very prom* ‘
inently in the " Osborne letters bf
some time ago, and some of his
friends at the DeSoto last night tried
a little pleasantry on him along
that line. He displayed no feeling
at all on the subject and entered in
to the spirit of the Joke in the hear
tiest manner. Mr. West left at an
early hour this morning for Wash
ington,* D. C.—Savannah News.

The King of Spain.
Alfonso, the young king of Spain,
leads a busy life, made up of work
and study and sport—such a life as
any clean minded young man might
lead. And this is what has endear
ed him to his people. In no mon
archy was the king’s majesty more
hedged about with ceremony. The
young king has broken Hr all down.
His ancestors gloomed behinil the
curtained window of the palace. He
has gone to the people.
He Is part of the national 11/e. And
his frank and boyish good-fellowship
has done more to make the monarchy
safe than "all the king’s horses and
all the king’s men.”
