Cordele, Ga., January 31.—Albert
Hamilton, the negre who was arrest
ed early Tuesday morning on a
charge of criminally assaulting |a
yonng lady here, was taken from the
jail by a mob in the morning and
swung to a limb, his body being rid.

The body of Emory Flanders, for
merly s Valdosta boy, wbo was kill,
ej at Palatka, Fla., on Sunday, was
brought through Valdosta Tuesday
morning on tha way to Brunswick,
where It will be Interred.
Young Flanders was run over by
a locomotive In tbe Palatka yards
of the Georgia Southern and Flori
da railroad, whera ha was acting as
a switchman. By the cruelspt Irony
Of fate It so happened that hla'own
father, bfr, W, E, Flanders, an en
gineer on tbe Oeorgls Southern ar.d
Florida, was driving ‘.he locomotive
which took the boy’s life.
The reports of tho accident state
that young Flanders was riding cn

the shock. The accident occurred
