044. The stock, on the 31st Oet. last,
was estimated at 277,300 hags; at tlie ror

St st Oct have amounted to 502,080 bags,
which exhibit a weekly nverago of upwards
of 14.000. This average 1s, wo behove,
greater than the nverago in any previous

W HEREAS much dangm is appre
hended from tho discharge of guns
pistols, squilis, or other instruments where
in the article ol gunpowder is used, within
the limits of the city nf Savannah, by in
considerate persons almost every evening.
Be it the tforc Ordained, That from and
after the passing of this Or- inane*, it ahall

foresaid mid the Constables ihereof, to' in
form against all mid every white, person
found within thu limits of the said city dis
charging or attempting to discharge any
gun, pistol, or other fire arms, cracker, or
any othci combustible preparation, and
