“Last Fall,” writes Mrs. S. G. Bailey, of Tun-
nelton, W. Va., “I was going down by inches,
from female disease, with great pain. After tak-
ing Cardui, Ohl Myl Howl was benefited 1 1 E
am not well yet, but am so much better that 1 will
keep on taking Wine of Cardui till I am perfectly
cured.”
Despite the envious attacks of jealous enemies
and rivals, Cardui still holds supreme position
today [as in the past 70 years] for the relief and
cure of female diseases. It stops pain, tones up
the organs, regulates
the functions, and aids
in the replacement of
a misplaced organ.

FOLK COUNTY FAIR.
An Important meeting of the stock
holders of the Polk County Fair As
sociation is called for 10 o'clock next
Saturday morning.
It is needless to repeat the recit
al of the woes of the Association on
account of the drenching rains at
Fair time Inst year. Had the weath
er been pleasant, the Fair would have
ivade money. As it was, it pract
ically paid current expense, hut had
nothing over to pay on notes for
land, tlie building of the grand stand
and other permanent improvements.
With tills load of debt and with
talk of receiverships, injunctions and
restraining orders, the Assoeiation did
not think it best for them to un
dertake a Fair this year. The Cher
okee Driving Club, however, did
undertake one, and with only a
month’s notice gave a very successful
one, as will be seen from the fol
lowing statement: —

plied for a receiver for the Associa
tion, and Sheriff .1. 10. Dempsey has
been placed in charge as tempora
ry receiver.
The meeting Saturday is to deter
mine the future course of the As
sociation. The Lland is very valuable,
and the Association has spent several
thousand dollars oil its permanent Im
provements. Some plan should be
devised by which the interests of
all parties concerned will be protected
as far os possible.
With good weather and sufficient
advertising, a big Fair will pay well
here every full, and we hope to see
some plan perfected by which this will
be made possible.
