can food drive going on
with the local radio
station and between and
amongst groups at the
high school and other
schools. A truck was
decorated that was full of
canned goods. The truck
took the can goods to
Albany to benefit the
Food Bank of Southwest
Georgia.

the interim, all checked baggage
would be screened by other
means, including x-ray, positive
passenger back matching or hand
checking.
* Fortifying cockpit doors and
require they be blocked during
flights, and further restrict access
to an airliner's cockpit during
flights;
* Allowing pilots to have guns
in the cockpit under certain cir
cumstances. and allow law en
forcement officers from other
agencies to travel to assist air
marshals;
* Considering the installation of
cameras or other devices to allow
pilots in the cockpit to monitor ac
tivities in the aircraft cabin, but
require the installation of
switches in aircraft cabins that
flight crews can use to discreetly
notify the pilots of hijackings;
* Modifying aircraft transpon
ders to prevent them from being
turned off during a hijacking;
* Ensuring that emergency calls
can be made by telephones in air
craft;
* Providing enhanced anti-hi
jacking training to flight crews;
* Requiring background checks
on all persons who seek flying
lessons on certain aircraft or who
seek training through flight simu
lator; and
* Requiring all U.S. and foreign
airlines destined for the United
States to electronically submit a
detailed crew and passenger
manifest to the U.S. Customs Ser
vice prior to landing.
