tak'em in some places. We saw a
few in the 6 lb. class.
Friday in 5 ft. of water there was
several hundred specks millin
about jist like they do when they
git'en ready to lay eggs in the
spring ( February, March & April).
It is fresh water shrimp they are
feedin on, or a beddin time is
fixen to happen.
Terry Scroggins of Palatka,
Florida won the St. Johns Invita
tional Bass Tournament out of
Palatka with 40 lbs. of Bass.
Danny White of Milledgeville,
Georgia was second, Mark
Radison was third of Wisconsin.
That area of Florida has been
badly effected by the Florida
drought. Salty seawater has
moved up to the bridge at Green
Cove Springs. All the grasses are
dead from that point to the Jet
ties north of Jacksonville. We
have been told that a tidal flow
of 6 inches is coming into the Big
lake George area at Drayton's Is
land, like of rain is the cause of
this.
Michael Thompson of Moultry,
Georgia won the Lowndes
County Bass Clubs Tournament
this past Saturday with 17 lbs. of
Bass. Mr. Johnie Reynolds won
the Lunker Bass Clubs Fish out.
Small Bass bit all week long but
good'ens waited til late Friday
and the weekend.
I know for sure the ression ain't
so bad cause the lawmakers in
Washington voted theyself a raise
Friday.
