Engagement Announced

Eric and Lana Hardy an
nounce the engagement of
their daughter, Charlotte Ann
Hardy, to Jason Ryan West of
Sasser. Mr. West is the son of
Don and Pam West of Sasser.
The couple will exchange
their wedding vows at 6:00
p.m. on April 22, 2006 at
Wynfield Plantation in Albany.
A reception will be held at re
ception at Wynfield Plantation.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Earl and Charlotte
Mosley of Cleveland, Missis
sippi and Margie and the late
Robert L. Hardy of Albany.
Miss Hardy graduated in
2000 from Lee County High
School. She is employed by
Estes Express Lines.
The future groom is the
grandson of Charles and
Jeanette Faulk of Sasser and
Burl and Deanie Chesser of
Albany.
Mr. West is currently attend
ing Darton College pursuing
a degree in business. He is
employed by Estes Express
Lines.

Exchange Wedding Vows

Emily Ann Brown and Sah-
u-Ra Brown exchanged their
wedding vows December 17,
2005. The 10:0 a.m. cer
emony was held at Howard
University in the Andrew
Rankin Memorial Chapel in
Washington, D.C.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt
Brown, of Leesburg, Georgia.
The bride is a 1999 gradu
ate of Lee County High
School. She is a 2005 Cum
Laude graduate of Howard
University with a Degree in
Journalism.
She is employed with the
Wall Street Journal National
Newspaper as a news re
porter.
The groom is the son of
Mr. Spencer Brown and Mrs.
Sandra Brown, both of New
York.
Mr. Brown is a 1997 gradu
ate of Holly Trinity High
School in New York. He is a
2001 graduate of Lehigh Uni
versity in Pennsylvania with a
degree in Politics.
He is employed by the
District of Columbia as a
high school special education
teacher.
The couple honeymooned
in Phoenix, Arizona. They
are residing in Carrollton,
Maryland.

Rylander Theatre

The Rylander Theatre sched
ule is full for the spring 2006.
The theatre will present “Juke
box Saturday Night’’ on Feb.
4 at 8 p.m. This performance
is sponsored by the Americus
Sumter County Arts Council.
The March schedule begins
with Miss S.A.R. on March 4
at 7 p.m., followed by Sumter
Players production of “Guys
and Dolls’’ March 9-12. On
March 16 the Americus
Sumter County Arts Council
will sponsor the “Velveteen
Rabbit Musical” for school
children. Two area schools
will benefit from this produc
tion as they fill the theatre for
this performance.
“A Closer Walk with Patsy
Cline” sponsored by the
Americus Rotary Club is set
for April 1 at 7:30 p.m. Geor
gia Southwestern’s Centennial
Celebration is on the calendar
for April 7. And on April 9
Ken Double, world-class the
atre organist will perform a 2
p.m. concert which will open
with the Rylander Roxys.
On April 13 as part of Geor
gia Southwestern’s Springfest,
the “Deluxe Vaudeville Or
chestra” will perform. Then
Georgia Southwestern will
return the next week for the
annual Shakespeare Festi
val. This year’s production is
Samford’s
Dean’s List

List for the fall semester at
Samford University. They are

of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Streat;
Brittany Michelle Gregg,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Scott Lewis Holwerda, son
of Dr. and Mrs. Dennis L.
Holwerda.
To qualify for the honor,
a student must have earned
a minimum 3.5 grade point
average out of a possible 4.0
while attempting at least 12
credit hours of coursework.

free of charge.

The Lee County Impact Fee Advisory
Committee will hold a Public Hearing to
consider and receive public comments
on a Capitol Improvements Element to
be prepared under the minimum plan
ning standards and procedures for local
comprehensive planning established by
the Georgia Planning Act of 1989. This
public hearing regarding Impact Fees will
be held Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 4:
00 P.M. This public hearing will be held at
the Lee County Board of Commissioner's
Administration Building Assembly Room
at 104 Leslie Highway, Leesburg, Georgia.
This meeting is open to the public and the
public is encouraged to attend.
