Colored Aristocracy at the opera
house to-night.
The fish are not biting so well
Iamoree, now that the grand jury has
adjourned.
Mrs. W. E. Hughes a id child, of
Hattesburg, Miss , were in the city
yesterday, s opping at the Gulf.
Bill boards to accommodate the
circus lithographs are being erected at
the corner r.f Jackson and Madison
streets.
Mi. G. A. Smith, of Macon, who
has been in the city lor a few days,
the guest of Col. Wiight, left yesterday
morning.
Mr. McAuley announces in his ad
vertisement that he will teach night
classes from 7 to 9 in ancient lan
guage.;. Th's a good opportunity to
study at night. See advertisement.
We Ic rn that some young ladies
have kindly consented to apptar in a
“flag drill,” at the opera house, on the
evening of the 12th of November, for
the benefit of the new armory. Capt.
Miller will be in command.
Colored Aristocracy
Is a black face farce comedy,
played exclusively by white perform
ers. Is the first o: its kiud in the
field. Contains sixteen minstrel ar
ticles, the best money can obtain.
Is full of boisterous fund. Yet
rt fined.
Deals with a tickelish subject.
Tickels, but is not tickelish.
Carries lie ole machine, The Niaga
Contains the elements of a prize
fight, which always ends iu a draw.
Has a fire scene which wakes up
the sleepiest audience.
Has a trained goat (Benjamin) who
can eat the largest petition ever sent
to congress.
The latest craze in the North is
colored aristocrncy. Make no mis
take. This is the only chance to see
it. Next season the public demands
somothiug new, and colored
aristocracy will be a thing of the
past. It is a miustrtd company, and
playing a white face farce comedy.
No greater mistake has cjfer been
made than to m t*> at diis company
is composed of colorei| o;ci). It con
sists of 10 white minstrel artists, who
all appear under the disguise of a
black taco, and who give an original
entertainment that has been co P lcf ‘
from no other company, and 1)9# been
on the road so short a time that it
has not had time to be copied.

Agent VauDyke received a tglp-
gram Wednesday night a few mo
ments before the night passenger train
left for Savannah, saying that Bar-
nura and Bniley’e pjrpus would not
show in Savannah on account «f flip
wrecking of one section of the
circus train on the Macon and Cov
ington road Wednesday. Mr. \ an-
Dyke entered the coach and read the
telegram to the waiting passengers,
and 1 offered to refund the amount paid
for the excursion tipkpts if they de
sired. Quite a mjmbpr were disap

anyhow.
The Largest Tree in Paradise
Park.
The largest and probably the oldest
tree in Paradise Park fell Wednesday.
The roots were unsuflicicnt to uphold
the tremendous weight of the tree.
It is a little queer that after success
fully battling with the elements, and
many a storm, the tree should fall
when there was hardly a breath of
wind to stir through the tree tops.
The fallen monaich of the park
forms a splendid rustic scat.

“Don’t Give up the Ship!”
Don’t surrender, although the fight lie
long and bitter, and results thus far but dis
mal failures. Old Rad Blood may yet be
conquered and disease driven from the cita
del of lib-. You have not used the
proper remedy, or long ago you would have
lelt a*change. You have tried this and that,
a hundred bottles of this specific and fifty hot-
hot of that sarsaparilla, and feel you might
ns well have used so much rain water for all
the good effect they bait. Why have you
not tried B. B. B.| (Botanic Blood Balm)
made in Atlanta, Ga. ? Because it isn’t ad
vertised so conspicuously ns other remedies ?
Well, that’s a poor reason. The greatest
humbugs can afford the largest advertise
ments. As for B. B. B* try it, and if six
bottles don’t do you more good than all the
other blood medicine you have ever taken,
call it a humhurg, a name that has neve
yet been applied to it by any one.
Walter Bridges, Athens, Tenn., writes
“For six years I had been nfllictcd with run
ning sores and an enlargement of the hone
in my leg. I tried everything 1 heard of
without any permanent benefit until Bota
nic Blood Balm was rocemmended to me.
After using six bottles the sores healed, and
I am cow in better health than I have <
been. I send this testimonial unsolicited,
because I want others to be benefitted.”
