discovered at the Hjggstou Lumber Go’*
plant about a mile from the city. There
was no fire protection, aud tho entire
plant, including the saw mill, planing
mill, several oat houses, and about a
million feet of lumber was destroyed.
The plant was valued at about $.>0,000,
and was the largest in all this neighbor-
hood. Only the office building was
saved. Insurance wns $*.*0,000 It is
understood that the company will prob
ably not rebuild.
