Presents itself to those who use
Parker’s Hair Bklsam, in the discovery
af its rare and remarkable merits.
Many have written ua expressing their
delight in the fact that it works like a
charm. Its disinfectant properties in
chemical combination rendering it
healthful; cleansing and healing are
bearing fruit, aud the beautiful hair it
produces, with the clean, healthy scalp,
entirely freed from Dandruff and fal

we have reason to feel proud. A

twelve different Hair Preperations and
that Parker’s Hair Balsam surpasses

Women’s Duty.
Women have many duties, some
in common with men, aud not a few-
peculiar to themselves; but among
them all there is none which they
owe to society greater than that
which should lead them to take an
active, personal and abiding interest
in all moral reforms. The temper-
attcc reform especially should find
among women its warmest friends,
its firmest supporters. For does not
woman herself suffer from the great
curse of intemperance? Ask the
thousands of drunkards’ wives iu our
land, and with a wail of anguish they
would tell you that women suffer,
even if it is only man that sins— the
innocent thus sharing the punishment
of the guilty. But then, wo an
herself, alas! so far f rg' ts herself as
to ‘‘lot k upon the wine when it is
red,” ami finds herself the victim of
t'tte “worm of tin* still.” Fi-r the
sake of our sisterhood, for the sake
of our sinning sisterhood, 1 call upon
the women of our land to wake and
arise, that tke claims of the temper-
ance cause may be folly met l>y
them. Lend la helping band to those
who would lift your brothers and
niters from the-mire of intemperance
Join temperance organisations which-
are in your midst, and let the full
weight of your iuftuence be felt on
the Hide o' truth and righteousness.
There is woman’s proper place, and
