zens enjoyed a delightful fish fry out

Donalsonville, i>» the western portion
of the county, Mr. J. W. Griffin, who
works for the Chattahoochee Lumber
Company, shot and instantly killed
a negro ex convict with whom he bad
some trouble. The facts in the ease
are not fully known to us, but we
understand that Mr. Griffin was jus
tified in las action.
Owing jto the extremely rainy
weather Saturday very few of the
teachers could reach town and conse
quently the Teachers Association did
not meet. They will meet on April
20th, theu meetings hereafter will
be held at the court ho ise in the
grand jury room. The next meeting
will be a very important one and all
the teachers are requested to be pres
ent.
