that the next union meeting of the
southwestern association will meet
with Salem church oil Friday before
the Fifth Sunday in June, and the
following questions will be consid
ered:
1. “Do wo know that the present
order is not thoroughly satisfactory
to any good man, rich or poor?”
2. “Do we know that a right un
derstanding of God’s Word not only
adds wisdom to the wise but, also,
mnketh wise the simple?”
3. “Do we know that the time is
short in which the consecrated may
make their calling and election

Messrs W. I. Moody, J. M. Jack-
son and G.'W. Mains will lead the
discussion oil the three above named
subjects.
The following subjects will also be

On Saturday evening last about
six o’clock the Bainbridge Steam
Laundry was burned. The fire had
enveloped the entire building before
it was discovered and hence, tbe fire
men were unable to extinguish the
Haines before the inside of the build
ing had been* destroyed. The fire
originated in tlie ironing room.
Messrs Krause and Cohen, the pro
prietors, estimate their loss at $2,500
the insurance partially covering tbe
building to the amount of $2,0Pd.
The band boys are putting in
some regular practice these days in
