The farmers are (lone planting
their corn for the second time and
were glad to see the rain which fell
Saturday afternoon and night.
The Davis school closed Thursday
night. The intertaiument was
quite a success. Every I tody enjoy
ed it fine.
The \V. \V. Club had a call meet
ing Thursday at noon and elected;
new officers and librarian for vaca
tion. Miss Mattie Floyd was elect
ed librarian. The club will meet
every second Saturday at 3:30 P.M.
We hope all the members will be
faithful and attend every meeting.
Mrs. J. R. Hill and children
spent Friday with her niece.' Misses
Laura Walter and Mattie Floyd.

Death of Little
Freddie Wimberly.
Freddie Wimberly, infant son of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wimberly, Jr.,
age eighteen months, died at their
residence on Milledgeville road
Wednesday night, May 11th and was
buried at Weeping Pine cemetary
Thursday afternoon following. We
join with friends and neighbors in
extending sincere sympathies to the
bereaved ones.
