aey the negro desperado who on
Sunday ■killed Deputy Me Craw at
Crenshaw, in Berrien county and es
caped to Archer, Fla., and killed De
puty Neal ofthat place on Thursday
following, again making his escape,
was killed by a posse of aoout 100
men and boys near Bramby, Fla.,
Saturday night.
Dansey, who wai evidently on his
way back to Willacoochee. called at
the country home of Mr. Adams, a
white man near Bramby, about 24
miles south of Live Oak. He de
manded 'something to eat and be
cause the meal was not as promptly
prepared as he desired, he opened
fire upon'the family, severely wound
ing'Mr. and Mrs. Miami and their
two sons. Mrs. Adams, who is old
and infirm, is not expected to live
a result of the wound.

Dansey turned to leave, he shot

sey then took refuge in a shanty in
old field near by. The posse,
while in search, passed the shanty
and Dansey opened fire with his pis
tol, but no one was hit. The shanty
was then riddled with bullets and
the negro killed.
