Tribute of Respect.
On Feb. 5th 1910 the angel
of death bore awry on Fs silvery
wings ot love the spirit of our
sister, Mrs William Fomby aged
seventy-two years. She united
with the Methodist cheech in
early lile, afterwards joining the
Baptist church and has lived a
consistent member thirty years
She united with Oak Grove June
1907 where she lived a faithful
member until her death.
Our sister had been a great
sufferer lor many years and was
therefore denied the privilege of
attending the house of God.
But she was a good Christian
woman daily toiling for her
master in her own home. She
was loved by ali who knew her
and was jeve-r ready to lend a
helping hand. She leaves a bus
band, one son in law and several
grand children, relatives and
a host of friends to mourn our
loss, and her eternal gain. May
the firm rock upon which ner
feet frested be their abideing
place and may they all meet her
in that home where partings are
unknewn and tears forever
dried. .
“Weepnot that her toils are o’er,
Weep not that her race is rnn
God graat we may rest as calmly,
When our work like hers is done
’Til then we yield with gladness
Our sister to him to keep,
And rejoice in the sweet assurance,
He giveth his loved one's sleep.”
Be it resolved that a copy ot
these resolutions be furnished
the family and |placed on record
in our church book and |that the
county papers be requested to
publish the same.

later, is the flat footed declara'
tion of the interstate commerce
committees minority leader that
the courts “will attend to the
rest,” and that President Taft
must take “what he gets” in the
way of rail oad legislation.
Representative Adamson, of
Georgia, who had charge of the
Democratic side in the fight on
the bill, said today that the
worst feature of the railroad bill
was the stock and bond provision
“Fortunately, however,” he
added, “that could not be en-
forced even if the senate shou'd

Knock it out. I fought that part
ot the measure because of its
uncoostitutionality, but I am
not a’armed about, for the very
reason that the courts would im
mediately pronouuce it a viola-,

“The Democratic minority
accomplished all they expected.
We have got rid of the pooling
and merger clauses, waich are
the next two teatures to the
worst ot them all. We have elim

the attorney general of all litiga

to the interstate commerce com

“I would have been glad to
get rid of the commerce court,
but that really the least of the
evils and one largfly offset by
other advantages we gained.
