“The Hit dog hollers”
So look out for the whine of the jealous,
who feel their inability to do what they claim
they can do. /•
The numerous patients that have gone to
these growlers and paid their good dollars to
them without receiving one cent’s worth of
relief of their eye troubles, and then letting
me have their case, receiving perfect satisfac
tion, proves to me that the people know and
appreciate my work.
According to their testimony, also, my
charges for my work is usually less than one-
half than their exorbitant charges
If you are skeptical, come to my office,
I will give yon the names of the above men
tioned patients I will also gladly show any
one just what I can do for their case No

Union Camp Ground
On last Friday the Methodist
Protestants of Georgia rescued
their tabernacle and tents from
the possession of the owls and
bats and moved in for the pur
pose of holding the 27th annual
Camp Meeting.
Union Camp Ground is con*
vemeutly located in a beautiful
20 acre lot in the northwest cor
ner of Carroll County, and was
organized in 1883 by Revs.
F. H. M. Henderson, Jno. G.
Caldwell. Jno. M. Thurman G.
A. McDaniel, Jno. W. Andersou,
and Jno. Morris, all of whom
have passed over the silent river.
The preachers at campmeeting
this year are Rev. Charles B.
McDaniel, of Atlanta, traveling
president of the Georgia Con>
ierence, Rev. J. R, Anderson,
of Atlanta, Rev. T. J. Pearce, of
Columbus, Dr. J. McD. Radford
ot Carrollton, and Dr. E. M.
Bounds, ot Washington, Ga.
It is safely estimated that
3,500 people were on the camp
ground Sunday, coming in i>uo
mobiles, surreys,buggies,wagons
and on foot.
At 8 o’clock Sunday morning
Dr. Bounds preached to the
largest congregation that we
ever saw at an eight o’clock
service. At 11 o’clock Presi*
dent McDaniel delivered a won
derful sermon on the new birth
and at the close of the service
much interest was manifested
and there were many petitions
for prayer as well as professions
ot faith. The 3 o’clock iservice
was conducted by Rev. T. J.
Pearce, the large crowd being
deeply impressed and more or
derly than is usual at the after
noon service. Rev. J. R. Ander
son preached a searching sen
moo on Sunday night and the
after service was the scene of
much religious enthusiasm, many
old time shouts being heard. It
was a great day and one that
will long be remembered.
The music was directed by
J L. Patterson, ot Sunny Side,
and the choir did some good
work.
On Wednesday night the last
srevice was held, and now the
camp ground will be dese t;d
until next year. J.P.

ing the summer’s vacation glides
into the pleasant past.
We are fortunate in having
Prof. H. B. Adams as Superin

the state. The faculty is an
excellent one and the out*
look indicates that the coming
term will be one of the best in
the school’s history, which is an
index to the progressiveness of
the school.
Each succeeding year should
surpass the other or there is
something materially wrong.
Every citizen of Carrollton
has rerson to be proud of our
■chools, and we trust teachers,
pupils and parents will [co-oper*.
ate during the coming term.
Don’t lail to start your ^children
at the opening next Monday and
see to it that they attendjregular-
